According to me, this is one of the easiest platforms to become a seller with. Because, on one side, you can even sell products without GST.
We can consider this platform as a B2B eCommerce portal, where you can either become a reseller by selling other’s products or you can sell your own products to those resellers as well. Both sides are doing their business.
If we talk about the reseller side of Meesho, then you do not even need any GST number on a small scale level. You can start your business from your home for free. You just need to promote the stuff you want to sell to your network.
But, here we are talking about another part of the game. To become a supplier on Meesho, which basically requires you to have physical stock with you, just like any shopkeeper selling physical products.
In this case, some documents and details are required to sell your products on Meesho. Let’s discuss these necessities one by one:

1) Business Phone Number
Nothing major, you just need a phone number by which you, as a business owner, are accessible to Meesho during working hours.
While creating a supplier account, Meesho will confirm the phone number by validating the OTP. You would receive an introduction call as well.
2) Business Email Address
I would recommend you to create a separate mail for your business (not only for Meesho) and use that email everywhere related to business. By doing this, you will not mix your personal life with your professional life.
Also, you do not require any personalized custom domain email address. A simple one with Gmail, Outlook, etc. would work.
3) GST Identification Number
Having a GSTIN is mandatory when you want to become a supplier on Meesho. This is a basic requirement when you want to start any business in India.
Registering for GST would costs you anywhere around INR 800 to INR 2,000. That depends on one CA to another and also depends on the product category you are into.

4) Bank Account
Receiving settlements directly into your bank account requires your bank account details to be submitted while opening your supplier account with them.
The bank account should not compulsorily needs to be a current account, saving account would work well too. However, when your business will expand in the near future, the number of transactions would increase at a rapid pace.
Hence, having a current account is always prefered. But you do not need to worry if you don’t have one. Just start off with the saving one today.

I want to sell items which do not have a valid bill. Is it possible to sell it on online platform? is just having a GSTN sufficient to sell on meesho?
Not an issue, you just need to pay the GST which you will collect from your customers while selling online. Yes, GSTIN is sufficient to sell on Meesho.

I have a GST number registered on my firm from which I have made an account on meesho but I don’t have any current account with that name when I am trying to add my personal saving account it shows that Your bank account name does not match with the registered business/trade name as per GSTIN.suggest me what should I do because it’s a partnership firm and it will take more than 20 days to open a current account for that..

I don’t think they’ll allow to sell with composite GSTIN. However, please try creating your supplier account with them and see what happens next.
